How to connect to HCI_WLAN?

Configuring a new Wireless Connection


  1. Click on the wireless network connect or Go to Start\Settings\Network Connections and right-click on the 'Wireless Network Connection' and go to Properties.

  2. Click on the second tab 'Wireless Network' and check on the box that says 'Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings'.

  3. Under the Preferred Networks category, please select 'Add' to create a new profile for the wireless network.

    In the first tab Association, enter 'HCI_WLAN' for SSID, select WPA Authentication from the drop-down box, and choose TKIP for its encryption.

  4. In the second tab Authentication, select Protected EAP from the Drop-down box and uncheck both the boxes (red circle shown below) and select Properties.

  5. Ensure that the 'Validate server' certificate is unchecked and click Configure.

  1. Uncheck the box (red circle shown below) so that you will be prompted with a login box and click OK twice.

  2. Turn on the wireless connection on the laptop and double-click on the wireless connection icon and accept the certification pop-up box that appears.

  3. Click on the call-out box to activate the login screen.

  4. Enter your hwachong account as requested and click OK.
